In those early adopting days, the art of marketing involved telling others about your product and services, just as we do today.
If there was one lesson that resonated with others that I could pass on to you today it would be my Super Market Analogy.
If you want to promote cheese, it’s not likely to sell amongst the kiddies underwear, fresh veg or cleaning materials in your local supermarket.
You have to place your products and services amongst other like minded or associated products and services. So to sell the cheese you would place it with other cheese, dairy items or even crackers.
You see, if you know what your prospects are looking for, then you just need to place your product or service where they’re looking.
So whether you do mail-shots, Adwords or SEO just start to think like the customer.
Online marketing is not complex. It requires a strategy that you follow, test and improve.
All the online methods that you probably hear about today are still like black magic to some, but let me assure you that with the right online marketing strategy your business can succeed too.
